2008 CSS Toy Drive Saturday, Dec. 20thWe're having our annual toy drive on Saturday December 20. We collect unwrapped toys for all ages and add them to the nearby fire station's toy gathering efforts. The firefighters bring a truck out to the LZ and we get to interact in a non-emergency situation. We haven't seen them much this year, which is a good thing! Crestline Soaring Society Flyable or not, there will be pilots, snacks and beverages in the LZ all afternoon. See you there! Thanks to EveryoneThanks to everyone who helped with donations of toys or cash to make this year's CSS Toy Drive another huge success. Special thanks to Wayne and Barb who collected the toys at the LZ on the 20th and to our shoppers Shondi (Di McKenzie's daughter), Steve, Dave, Wyatt, and Teagan for their efforts to purchase over $1400 in toys on Friday night. The pic shows Wyatt and Teagan after we finished dropping off the toys to the local fire department for their "Spark of Love" toy drive.

Still On
Rob and Di are stuck in Big Bear this morning, with a vehicle blocking their road. Other officers are out-of-town or busy, so the toys will be delivered to the Fire Station tomorrow or Monday.
Di's daughter Shondi took the CSS-collected cash to the store and bought a bunch of toys Friday. Thanks Shondi!
