Crestline Soaring Society

Lots of HG’s enjoyed flying the Crestline Ridge during the mid-week-after-work-get-together. Around 6:00 a gaggle of some 8 gliders joined beautifully along the spine up to Billboad thermalling counter clockwise for several minutes. It was there I developed the best strategy for staying in lift I have ever found. Just follow Tom. It worked perfectly until he peeled off down the ridge. Then I followed Mike B.

if you haven't taken a look at the new storage container, check it out! rebar dan, dusty rhodes, and mike zeller have completed the new glider shelves, they are beautiful, and we are ready to fill her up.

here is the proposed method for migrating over if you choose.

we would like to avoid glider overlap in the middle of the container, so each side of the container will have a short, and long glider designation.

Who else can ditch work at 1:00 and meet in the LZ at 3:00 Fri. for a fitting end to a long week ? Tomorrow's numbers look awfully good.

There seemed to be some excitement about the BUG that Gene flew recently. Here is a link to an inexpensive glider kit for $2995 that looks pretty interesting. I'm thinking about purchasing the kit. Any thoughts?
