3rd Annual Soboba Fly-InParagliders, Hang Gliders, friends and family are invited to attend the 3rd Annual Soboba Fly-in scheduled for next Saturday 20 September 2008. We are expecting a large turnout for this fun event. A Press Enterprise reporter will be there to cover the story for the newspaper. Planned events include a barbeque and music. Everyone is invited. Get a free site checkout from any of our local flyers. No restrictions. Come anytime, the gate will be open all day. Best flying times are usually 4:00pm till dark. Fifteen minute walk up site, no drivers needed, no turnaround time, launch from 690 AGL, bench up over the mountains and fly pass sunset. We have shade and cold water both on launch and the LZ. Come early and we will even help take you gear up. Come help us enjoy all the improvements that the Soboba Flyers has made to this site over the past year. If you wish, bring a lawn chair for the party, and of course your favorite drink. Darrel Wood (951) 487-0053 Forums > Events & Site Projects Sites > Soboba Soboba fly-inDont recommend going through the Indian reservation. You can still go to the top by taking Hwy 243 toward Idyllwild and exit on Poppet Flats Road. The road is good even for 2 wheel drives and no closed gates. Time from Soboba LZ to Hang Launch is 1 hour. We will try and help hangs up the path by using our 4 wheel drive Quad if the pilots come early. Several Hangs from San Diego are comming up. |
