Crestline 9/20

After being blown down on at Elsinore for two consecutive days decided to go where that wouldn't be an issue. Showed up at noon, not a lot of locals present and in fact Eteamers out numbered them. Suppose they opted for Soboba. Crestline reports were 20 gusting to 25. We chose to fly Marshall. Big Craig volunteered to shuttle myself and Mike Harper up to Marshall (thank you thank you thank you). Blowing in study at Marshall 12-14. Launched a little after 2:20 flying the Talon. Took me a couple of minutes to adjust to flying it as I've been flying the Ultrasport regularly. After screwing up one thermal turned right and headed over towards regionals. Caught a workable thermal and climbed 1000 over. Hooked a nice consistent bubble and drifted back to Crestline. Got there about 500 below. Cruised over to Billboard and worked the spine up over the top. Up until now hadn't seen anyone. Joined up with Mike H and Designer Dave appeared to be coming back from Pine. They both eventually disappeared. I saw gliders over Marshall now and figured it was them. Headed over too Marshall on a speed run. Got there and saw Dave on the ground and mike heading over the college. Boated back to Crestline two more times. This was getting boring and the air was pretty choppy. Arms were getting sore. Decided to land even though it was still pretty easy to maintain. Set the final up way too high had to S turn twice which only left me with 2/3 of the field left and still high. Used up 98 closer to 99 percent of the field landing on belly and wheels which saved an over shoot. Landing Time 4:45 Max Alt 6400 Pretty fun!!
