Elsinore, Sat the 27th

Holy S%*T
It appeared to be a strong, but good day. 2 PG's in the air doing alright, but getting bumped around pretty good, and 3 HG's in the air too. I launched at 12:30 only to get instantly picked straight up 60 feet or so, and pushed backwards. I went on bar and crept forward and just past the lip of launch I took a 75% collapse that spun me and dove me toward the ground. I fought back and just cleared the rocks on launch. I headed away from the hill to get picked up real strong again about 50 feet up and got hit by another huge collapse. Again spun and dove at the hill. I again fought back and just missed getting splatted. I then hit major sink, so I just ran for my LZ. I got hit again over the right hand spine. I survived that one. (at least I wasn't so close to the ground). I headed over my LZ and got hit with a major collapse for the fourth time. I landed pefectly in my LZ after a total of 10 min in the air. The adrenaline was so fierce I started dry heaving. Other wise a good day at Elsinore. 2 HG's and one PG flew to Hemet. There was another bigger story here though. Bruce Carr had something go wrong in his head, (brain), in the air. He came down and hit a palm tree 20 feet above the ground. He whomped down on the ground. Someone called 911. The police showed up first and found him trying to get his helmet off. The ambulance showed up and took him to the emergency room. A scanned showed heavy bleeding on the brain. They took him into surgery and relieved the pressure from his brain. The Dr's said there was no visable injury and they think something happened before he landed. The last I heard was that he was out of surgery and stable. The police took his glider and truck, (which was at my house). Please pray for Bruce. One other HG had to top land and twisted his ankle.
Rough day at Elsinore.
