OMFGBBQ!!!

HOLLY MOTHER OF GOD YOU HAVE MISSED OUT!!!!!!

...just kidding, kinda. Nothing super epic, but with the exception of Monday, all last week was better than the average summer day. 7000ish thermals.

Hey KK if you're really

Hey KK if you're really bored, I've been laoding my flights onto Leonardo thanks to Jérôme's lead.

you can watch be progress and regress as the plantetary moons ingress and egress, but I digress.

Region 6 had a very funny thread going about the names for groups of flying things: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Region6/messages/17608?threaded=1&m=e&var=1&tidx=1

KK have you not been flying?

KK have you not been flying? Are you still awaiting a Sport 2?

it's here

I drove out to Ontario and picked it up today, left it with Rob for inspection and some fresh side wires.

I'm aiming at the end of the week to get back on the horse.

Today was crazy. The LZ was blowing west at 2, Marshall SW, big line of OD over the Crestline Ridge. It was blowing down by 3. I guess the McBus turned around before even reaching Marshall.

Weather

Weather was crazy all over. Woke up at 6:30 to a micro burst overhead. Trees flailing raining lightning and rainbow right outside window. About 10 another bout with rain and lightning. Staying home was a good thing. What color scheme and how did you locate the new wing? What kind of history does it have? Might fly Wed if I can hook up with someone.
Everyone I know flying the Sport2 are happy campers. Spike flew his Friday to Lake Matthews and then over to Saddleback. He flew to Hemet on Sat. He likes it and flys it better than his U2. If I sell my Talon I might be interested in a U2. I'm not the man I used to be.

used s2

I found the s2 on the oz report classifieds in CT. It looks like it's in pretty good shape, but a little heavily UVed, like the guy left it out a bit too much. But, since it's an east coast wing, it's been less affected by dirt. Go figger.

I wrote up the shipping part here:
http://knumbknuts.blogspot.com/2008/09/buying-transporting-sport-2-across-usa.html

Normally, I'd buy a new wing, but I'm a little gordo for the s2 155. I didn't want to spring for a new one and have to upgrade to a u2 in a year. We'll see. just have to make sure it's one I want to fly for a few years.

This wing has got a red leading edge and a slice of silver on the bottom.

Tell me how it goes when you fly on Wed, Jack, if you do. I'm still a few more days off.

/me wants to be there

I want to see JW tossing that little S2 around with concern on his face. It shall go well I think.

Probably have to skip flying this coming weekend but hope you all get good stuff.
