Torrey Friday 7/3With the summer inversion doldrums underway... and to celebrate my H4, I a heading to Torrey Friday if anyone wants to come down and join. Hope to see some Crestliners down there. If anyone else shows, I plan on eating at Dalton's Roadhouse in Encinitas on the way home... great BBQ and beer. Forums > Rides & Road Trips Flight > HG Sites > SoCal a bit lightIt was a bit light... there were two hours where you could soar fairly easily, another hour a little less so. One hangie took a trip to the sand. I got in two flights... the first easy and fun with a good landing. The second not as easy, too low, lots of traffic. Finally hedged my bets and did a low approach, though I should have done a less sharp angle on it, I pulled it off safely. |
