I guess I just wanted to tag Santa’s Village a little too much. This is my second time landing at Arrowhead Springs Resort. The previous time I landed on a hill side rather than the soccer field where two serious accidents previously occurred. I fly a light wing loading glider with a powerful drogue and have been visualizing how I’d make the approach and an uphill overshoot if needed. It’s better to avoid the resort altogether regardless of the glider if at all possible. It’s in a canyon and the wind can be unpredictable. Here’s the flight….
