Scott Buxton General MemberHello,
I’d like to introduce myself. My name is Scott Buxton. I am an Arizona pilot, currently, H3 I am coming out to Andy Jackson Airpark. Next weekend on 13th and 14th to work on my landing skills and my approaches. I’ve only flown there one time. I’ll be honest with you. The landing at Andy, Jackson intimidates me. Due to having to get close to the terrain on approach. My brain has always been STAY FAR AWAY from terrain. I am looking forward to getting your LZ dialed in and flying regularly at your site. I am Currently , in Goodyear, AZ being my parents caregiver. Full time job. All my free time when I can get a sitter for my parents is mostly spent flying. I am planning on exploring California flying sites to fly, rather than staying in AZ to fly.
A little background on myself , my Dad started flying in 1974, when I was 1 years old. I’ve been around hg all my life. My dad was a Air junkie Hang glided as much as possible. Some may know my dad. His name is Bob Buxton…..I started flying in 1989 when I was 16 years old. I took a 10 year break from flying in 2015 and started flying again last year in 2025. I am also in the process of becoming biwingualI am signed up for lessons through Desert Wing Paragliding here in arizona, I had a couple kiting lessons. I am super green still in paragliding. I plan on bringing my gear in hopes of maybe kiting.
I look forward to meeting lots of new , like minded friendly pilots. I love everything that flies.
Scott
