As someone easily amused, I’ve always found it interesting that Santa Ana winds are the result of basically the same processes that make Diesel engines possible: compression causing heating.
And of course the inverse makes cumulus clouds: expansion of rising air causing cooling until the dewpoint is reached.
And again, easily amused by people proposing cloud seeding to put out fires when:
A.) There are no clouds, except clouds of smoke
B.) Relative humidity values are in the single digit range
C.) Air temperature and dewpoint are 60 degrees F apart.
