While the CSS launches are closed, Soboba is a great alternative. I believe they’re set up for hang gliders too. We flew for 2 hours and only landed because the sun was setting. Video credit goes to David Sierra.

Few of us enjoyed nice flights with great weather yesterday (9/15). I got 2.5 hours in and maxed out at just over 5k. Only about a half dozen of us in the air.
The flight park cats also offer free gear inspections:

Here is a summary for predicting if it will be good to fly there: Soboba > Conditions.

There is a fair chance that tomorrow (Wed Sep 18) could be another fun one, but check conditions before heading out.
If you have not been at the site for a while, arrive early (2:30 pm) for paperwork, then catch the next on-going shuttle (can also carry HG) up to launch. More site info.

Video of my launch (thanks Cory).
Added 2 hours to the logbook, and up to the mid 5k‘s. Widespread lift for the first half, and left a late thermal to land by sunset.
