I was already having fun during my 3 hour 35 min flight up to 5600′, but in the last 45 minutes it became gorgeous, with clouds appearing below us. I moved forward to stay upwind, but kept finding more lift over the center of the valley. As if we were ridge soaring the clouds (I know I really wasn’t). A nice gift from nature on Thanksgiving day. Good turnout of pilots too.
