I heard about a lot of happy pilots setting out on X/C adventure to the Brewery and other points of mystery. For the long-term X/C crew, Tim generously ran the Sandy Van to Marshall Peak at 10:30AM with 3 HGs and 5 or so PGs. On arrival there was a PG floating overhead and well established that launched elsewhere which bode very well. The 10:30 group got airborne between 11:15 and noon. No chase drivers so the HGs curtailed plans to go straight distance. The PGs went for it. One HG flew to San Gorgonio and back. Another HG flew past Wrightwood then over Mt Baldy summit and back for an FAI triangle. The PGs got as far as Quail Lake at 90 miles. Luckily there was no drama that I’m aware of other than anotherĀ HG landing at the edge of the West LZ berm which could unhappy they not stopped their glider. Since not everyone posts to Leonardo or other databases that are aggregated by Leonardo I went with the 5 I had just to illustrate.

I’d recommend laying off the bath salts and kratom.
