On Saturday April 12th we will have a work party at the AJX LZ to do some much needed maintenance on the LZ Sprinklers. This won’t be work that is as arduous as clearing weeds, picking up trash, or digging, it’s actually some pretty laid back tasks.
1. Clean the filter screens on the sprinklers, there are 42 sprinklers.
2. Clean and service the Master Valves for each sprinkler zone. 2 are done and 8 more to go.
3. Install the rubber protective bases around the sprinklers.
We’d like to get at least 10 volunteers to come out and help with this work, its not hard but to get it done in a day we need as many hands on the job as possible. This work requires very few tools and you probably won’t even break a sweat, but do bring work clothes and gloves because you might get a little dirty.
We will meet up in the LZ at 9am and get everyone trained up on the different tasks. Back-up day in case of rain will be Sunday, April 13th.

General MemberI can help.
April 7, 2025 at 12:56 PM #21886If anyone has a gas powered weed eater please consider bringing it. It would be very helpful to knock down the taller weeds and the invasive mustard that is on the edges of the LZ.
