From the beginning the BOD has tried to maintain privacy for everyone involved. The letters that were provided to the parties involved contained the inclusive dates.
Disciplinary actions by the BOD have been very rare in the club’s history, but every member has the right to a reasonable degree of privacy in the administration of these incidents. So that is why the letters to the parties involved were not made public and also why we are not discussing details on forum posts. For anyone that is curious or has a need to know, please email the CSS BOD directley.
I’m going to ask the Website Administrator to delete this thread.

The letter was addressed to Gene, it wasn’t addressed to the entire club so its not a club issue. I would think you’d be one of the first people to stand up for someone else’s right to privacy. The circumstances for the disciplinary action were a club issue, they were discussed ad nauseam, and there was Club Meeting that addressed the ban which you did not attend.
Also, I’m pretty sure you don’t understand what ‘Pleading the 5th’ actually means or you’d understand that it does not apply here.

a: Send an email to the whole club talking about a ban (the email I got was about a ban ending 11/20/23, sounds like yet another deal got altered)
b: Say you’re maintaining privacy

A. Yes, the deal got altered! The ban was extended by a year because the terms of the 30 day ban were violated. Warnings were given and they were ignored, the BOD was very clear and specific about consequences.
B. We didn’t publish the letters that were given to the Offenders, the email sent to membership was an explanation of the circumstances and the membership is entitled to that (especially to the victims of the negative behaviors). There were many letters that came before the One-Year Ban. Everything was put in writing for a reason.
So no, we don’t have to pick A or B.

Artie Roggeband General MemberThe problem is that the BOD discusses but doesn’t listen or change their own behavior. This whole affair is more out of whack than an assyemtric collapse. For any club BOD to take such a spiteful and hard line without any path for restoring membership or playing a role in reconciliation is an absolute travesty of the club’s intent and, frankly, un-American.

I seem to recall that you attended the Club meeting where this situation was discussed and I really don’t remember you saying anything at all, but if you did it certainly wasn’t anything close to what you just said. If you want to cite ‘Spiteful’ and ‘Hardline’ why don’t reference the thread where the videos were posted of verbal threats and assaults? That’s the kind of behavior we had to deal with, not you. You’re still new to the club, so be careful about taking sides on issues when you have no real frame of reference to the sum of the events.
There is just a little over 30 days remaining in the suspension period, so take a chill pill and think about how you would feel if someone verbally assaulted your mother or sister… maybe then you’ll recognize why we had to take the steps we did.
November 16, 2024 at 2:02 AM #21323Artie Roggeband General MemberYeah, I’ve seen the videos, intentionally confrontational and aggressive attempting to entrap a person being filmed without permission.
I also saw you and others filming me just going about my business. Honestly, some behaviors are better left behind the iron curtain.
That is the pattern the whole world sees, manipulations, threats, and missed opportunities to show maturity in dealing with member issues.
It’s not too late to try something different.
