    Come one, come all to our Annual Dahlsten Cup competition and BBQ on Saturday, September 16th, 2023!

    All pilots are welcome, whether you want to compete or just fly!  BBQ, Cornhole, frivolity and hang gliding comradery.

    If you’ve never flown Sylmar, you’re in for a treat. Foot launched flying from Kagel Mountain (3,540 ft MSL), and local mountain hopping for great fun!

    Open and Sports Class competition with 1st, 2nd and 3rd place trophies. There will be an Air Hog trophy for the pilot who stays up the longest, and of course, a Spot Landing competition and trophy.

    Pilot’s meeting usually goes at around 10 AM, but be there by 9 AM to program your vario and get your mindset.

    Looking forward to seeing everyone at our Dahlsten Cup Fly-in on Saturday, Sept 16th! Pilot’s meeting at 11am.  Here is a list of the competitions

    Open Class – 1st, 2nd, 3rd place trophies

    Sport Class -1st, 2nd, 3rd place trophies

    Air Hog Award – In case you blow the course, stay up the longest!

    Spot Landing Contest

    Nuclear Whack Award – for the most auspicious whack of the day.

    BBQ to follow the comp. Come one, come all and let’s have some fun!

    Saturday, September 16th, 2023 is the AJX Annual Memorial Fly-In. There will be Live bands, food, flying, raffle &  the pond will be open.

    I suspect that most CSS members , will attend this party instead ?  I plan to be there !!!

    Perhaps Next year ; these events could be scheduled, on Different days ??
