Not trying to raise any alarms or get everyone’s pitchforks sharpened up, but was in a really good climb at Pine on Monday (smooth strong lift up to 7850’ :) ), and saw below me what I’m pretty sure was a non-line-of-sight drone. Heading was roughly SSE, coming over the mountains from the desert. Possible it was a large bird, but seemed to be moving too fast and steadily for an animal. Shiny white and very straight heading.
Moral of the story is just to keep your eyes peeled up there. The little aircraft can ruin our flights just like the big boys.
