David Webb General MemberRan across this electric motor for hangie launches, for those that might be interested. Seems to be still under development, but I thought the 2 legs under the prop was an interesting approach:
November 19, 2025 at 5:53 AM #23184That is Awesome !! I would want the battery to have the ability to Eject , if it got too Hot. The two legs under the prop is a design from older motor harnesses with ICE , (gas engines) .

November 19, 2025 at 10:46 PM #23185Yes… the two “legs” are a variation/copy of the Swedish “mosquito” motor HG harness that used a husqvarna gas engine
November 21, 2025 at 9:08 AM #23189I contacted the company , and the owner said we may be able to work out something out for my Atos VRX; the span is too big for me to feel good about launching it on two fake legs. I have the smaller Atos for foot launching ; I don’t need help with that one. See you guys in February next year !

Lyle Anderson Premium MemberI am very interested. I was, (past tense) looking at an EGO trike on an ATOS. But, I got a nasty gram from the VA saying I owe them money. so, The EGO is going to have to wait. But I got to find another way to keep flying. Flying prone is causing me so much pain that I can only fly for 45 min now at best. I once owned a Quicksilver “M” It is so bitchen taking off of flat ground! But you could not turn the motor off. My Quick had a glide ratio of a rock or may be a picnic table. but this EGO looks pretty good. I just takes some $$$
