Bit of fire activity on the back side of Harrison today, producing quite the show and bringing the aircraft.

Looked like it was being handled mighty quickly – not much smoke by the time I left.

Notice the small wispy cloud forming along the top of the smoke plume.

Great photo! It was eerie watching it unfold while flying. Then all the rerouted air traffic turned the sky into a slalom course.

Unsatisfied with disturbing the flying at Crestline, one of those aircraft figured it would also fly by Soboba late afternoon, just because.
