Our Sister club, Sylmar Hang Gliding Association, is seeking some PG Pilot assistance for their Spring Air Festival 2026 on May 10th at Kagel Mountain.

The PG Comp will have its own day, Sunday May 10th.  SHGA is asking if there is a PG Pilot with some Comp experience who will be willing to help with setting the task for the day.  They are only asking for one person, but I’m sure they wouldn’t mind another assistant or two to the lead to help with running the scoring spreadsheet and other task related duties.

They are interested in doing an appropriate task for the day, but they also like to include a spot landing contest and they also do an ‘Air Hog’ award for pilot who might not accomplish the task but just stay up the longest.  SHGA isn’t familiar with how PG Accuracy Comps work (and neither do I) but they are interested in learning more about that and incorporating it into the event if possible.  This sounds like a great opportunity for some PG Pilots to help establish a great local event and support the local pilot community.
