The North wind created usable convergence above 6k, but below one felt the direct effect of the over-the-back wind at the Crestline ridge. Various wind directions were reported in flight. I reached 7700′ and flew over 4 hours (details). The last 2 hours offered generous smooth lift over the valley behind Marshall, providing an unusual fun zone. There was a bit of everything today, like in a box of chocolates.
