I launched from Crestline at 12:55 pm and glad I did sooner than later. A video of my launch & landing thanks to Cory. After my launch the wind was light & variable, then North after 2:20 pm…![Crestline_Wind](https://crestlinesoaring.org/wp-content/uploads/hm_bbpui/19166/b2224qjrusnbttrumf3gxdfqb42r510q.png)
The North wind created usable convergence above 6k, but below one felt the direct effect of the over-the-back wind at the Crestline ridge. Various wind directions were reported in flight. I reached 7700′ and flew over 4 hours (details). The last 2 hours offered generous smooth lift over the valley behind Marshall, providing an unusual fun zone. There was a bit of everything today, like in a box of chocolates.
A SportsTrackLive animation of my flight and Ladi’s.
