The Conservancy will once again host the annual 4th of July Party for CSS Members at the Pond so we can enjoy the local fireworks displays after flying on the 4th of July this year.

In preparation for the Pond Party we are asking for CSS Member help on Sunday, 29 June to tidy up around the Pond.  Steve Rousseau has been up there putting in consistent work through the spring but there is just a bit left to do.  We will start early at 0900 to beat the heat and it should only take a couple hours to some light chores including pulling the last few light weeds, pressure washing the decks, and chopping back some growth on the road.

If you have tools that you think would be useful, please consider bringing them.  A weed-whacker could come in handy, but also small chainsaws and battery powered hedge trimmers would be ideal.  We have shovels and rakes but won’t say no to any more garden/landscape tools you might want to bring.

We will meet in the LZ and transport people and tools up to the pond in the Ranger.  If we get at least a dozen volunteers it will go quick and we will still have plenty of time to get on the afternoon shuttles for flights. Thank You!
