I’m an out of town pilot actually. I was doing some pre-flighting on my glider, normal, non-rushed setup. Came time to do the tip wands – one on, no problem, but the second, when I tensioned the cam lever (the “back” sticker point back), the fiberglass wand cracked a few inches from the end. Sad story, but it had to happen eventually, I suppose.
Anyways, that’s how I became short one tip wand. If anyone has one on hand they’d be willing to sell, I would be eternally grateful.
