General MemberAttention ANYONE who has gear for sale. I listed my Freedom 170 on wingseller.com for $1950.00 and within 7 days I was contacted by not 1, not 2, but THREE scammers attempting to buy my wing, all using a variation of the cashiers check scam. The story may change, “I’m on vacation and can not come myself ,” or some song and dance along that line. The Scammer was going to send the check via USPS/Fed-X. Upon receiving it, I was to cash it, and give the (I think it was 500.00 dollars) excess cash to the shipper who was going to pick up the, get this…”The airplane” at Andy Jackson Air-park. I spoke with my credit union and they explained that, I would cash the check, I WOULD get my cash. I give the excess funds to “the trusted delivery person” to pay for the shipping of my wing to its new owner. everyone goes their separate ways. Then, about 5 to 7 days later, when my credit union sends the check to whatever bank it was drawn on and it was rejected, my credit union would hit me with a charge back fee for the entire amount. I am not saying NOT to list you gear on Wingseller but, BE-AWARE, the sharks are out there, and they will bite you, if you give them a chance…

General MemberThe cashier check is a well known scam. Have them pay with Venmo or Zelle if they re out of town. So frustrating,,,, Good luck on the sale.
