I was hiking to the 750 to get my truck after the expected sled ride and as I was rounding The Pond I saw an HG setting up a landing approach. I got my phone out and got a little video of the landing itself. John B. later said it was zero wind, maybe even a little tail cycle.  It turned to North wind at Crestline about an hour later.

I had launched my Falcon from the 750 at 2:30 and had a fun few minutes scratching over the tree line. Landed in a SE cycle. There was a gaggle of PG’s above Marshall Peak.

When I started my hike I noticed some unusual contrails over the desert.
