Got a ride on the 3 PM Sandy Van to Marshall; blown-out at Crestline. Wind had peaked, I guess, because it was perfect at Marshall – steady upslope around 10. Hazy with a high thin layer that varied the sunlight as it flowed overhead.

I launched a Sport 3 155 at 16:10 and stayed up easily. No strong climbs but no real hunting for lift. Got to 4,600+ N of Marshall. Down the Cloud spine several times and slow but steady climbs back up again. Less orographic lift than I expected. Great fun for 1:15, landed when I was ready (just before it started raining PGs) into a persistent W cycle.
Parking down the middle of the AJX parking lot seriously needs some organization.
