A group of hardy pilots flew today to celebrate the re-opening of the San Bernardino National Forest, despite the thermal-killing layer of smoke that was flying South for the winter.

One pilot reported 53 minutes of airtime. Smooth air.
I had to mow my lawn anyway, so I opted to do a little extra yard work in the cool mid-day conditions and fly tomorrow or Saturday. Went to the LZ to see the hang gliders. Good to see the die-hard denizens.
