I watch this guy’s weather forecasts, which are excellent – mostly for planning if I want to go out for the weekend or on a trip.  Not good for planning TODAY, but really good for a few days out.  I highly recommend this.  He was spot-on during this last winter’s crazy weather.

Now he’s predicting something that could have a huge impact on us at Crestline/Marshall/AJX & Soboba.  Check out his latest video. Weather: Tropical system incoming

Thanks for the link, Kirk. That was a great, detailed look at the system developing now. Time to batten down the hatches it looks like.

That guy talks FAST. High “information density” to his video :)

Interestingly, if you go to https://www.nhc.noaa.gov/refresh/graphics_ep4+shtml/235048.shtml?gm_track#contents

and checkmark the ‘track’ feature, so it shows a black line in the middle of the predictive cone, then zoom way in on the map, it looks like the middle of the likely path goes very, very close to the LZ and launch.

Of course that doesn’t mean that’s where it will actually go, but it’s funny to see that prediction.

That seems to agree with the WU prediction for Sunday (whoooooooole lotta rain – almost 4 inches in a day):
