Conditions thumbed their nose at the forecast again and provided great conditions, plentiful strong climbs, and slightly warmer temps than predicted.

Enjoyed a nice easy morning flight around 9:30, with light but punchy conditions. On the way back up to retrieve my car, I think I convinced the Uber driver to take a tandem flight. He seemed super into it.

Lunch break, followed by light launch conditions at Crestline around 1PM made for a good time for PGs. A helicopter decided to make a few very low passes right over launch just after I got in the air (nerve wracking) but it eventually moved off.

After good climbs at launch and out in front at Marshall, decided to head east to the Brewery. Fairly smooth and productive lift in all of the usual places made for a relaxing flight. Landed in the large athletic fields next to the brewery which was a nice place to land and nice grass for packing up.

Humble track log and victory beer:

I’m glad we had as much turnout as we did. For a change of pace I made it back to the LZ. 98 minutes in cold to freezing was enough for me.

I was comfortable, but I definitely layered up before launching:
