Happened to get a hawk in the frame when Jeff Bether was over the LZ on Sunday with his T3.
Also, Jeff mid-flare:
When I was driving down from the 750 earlier, a few minutes before 5 PM, I noticed smoke on top of Little Mountain.
I saw a bit of orange flame too. It ultimately burned about 11 acres, according to news reports.
Lots of people out soaring, most reported so-so thermals and a low inversion. I didn’t get up from the 750 but had a fun few minutes working some promising bumps.
