    Saw a rattler this afternoon while hike & flying up to Regionals, maybe 25 yards up from the Pond.  It slithered off the trail without a sound.

    Okay, I’ll bite.  I thought the fly-in on Sept. 20th was fun -low-key vibes, good food and conversation, and the Bomb Drop!  The flying was fantastic that day, from my novice perspective; got a 2-1/2 hour flight, thermalled with a bunch of folk, and made it back to Crestline and Pine Mtn.  Looking forward to the next one!
