Yes – we can see the future. We can hear your voices saying, “the site sucks, I can’t find anything, and the world would be a better place if we just went back to the old one.” Hopefully, things ain’t so bad. A website (especially one that’s made for a club or a big group of people) is and always will be, a compromise, of sorts. We won’t be able to change everything for everyone, and some things will just have to be “the way it is,” but we are open to your feedback (keep it civil!), and will endeavor to make every fix, improvement, and enhancement that’s within our power.

If you see a post on this site that you had originally put up on the old site (been trying to copy over many of the most recent posts) and there’s another name on it (like the site administrator’s name), send an email to info@crestlinesoaring.org after you’ve registered on the site. It’s very easy to reassign the post to you once your account is created.

If you have suggestions, questions, or a general beef about something on the site, feel free to post it in this forum (just create a new topic under “Website Help & Suggestions“). We will try to respond as quickly as possible.

Since those require updates to the actual devices (have to tell them to send their pics to a different place), those are still on the way. They’ll be up within the next week or two.

All of the webcams are now back up on the weather page.

Still working with the appropriate parties on getting the AJX and Crestline weather stations pointed to the right place, but those should be along very soon.

How about a different picture than this one showing a PG ridge soaring Crestline just as a HG is about to launch. I’m thinking the PG (or HG) was just photoshopped into the image. :)

That would be great, if only we could find a quality photo like that. I searched through my thousands of photos and could find only very few that featured both a paraglider and hang glider in one, and usually it was against a blue sky instead of Crestline. I’ll keep an eye out for that next time I’m out there taking pictures.

I’ve been peeking at the AJX webcam off and on today – looks like it’s been up. Sometimes you may have loaded the page up while the new image is still being created (especially goes for the animations, since they are larger and take a few seconds to process). If you notice an issue, first thing to try is wait a few seconds and reload the page.

Dan is the man as far as setting up Crestline cam presets.

I see a nice feature on the weather forcast page. When you hover your pointer over the graph, a little tag pops up that shows the time and wind velocity. It would even be better if it displays the wind direction. I know that would help some with color challanged vision.

Yessir! That one is on the list (just haven’t gotten to it yet). Also plan on scaling/zooming so you can easily see finer resolution on small screens.

Hi Alex – this one is done! Here’s what it looks like:

Also – a note for mobile users (in case you didn’t notice): if you’re on your phone, you can drag your finger across the graph and the little popup will track that (so the values will change as you’re dragging). Have tested this on the iPhone (YMMV on droids).
