There are still a few adjustments that need to be made at the Marshall weather station. It should be all good in a few days.
Weather station doesn’t seem to be working.
I’m unable to access the weather station safely.
Im not going back up there.
Enjoy the sock.
May 23, 2026 at 12:23 PM in reply to: Site maintenance / Major issue with Shade Pavilion roof #23931Hi Clark
Thank you for your input and suggestions. I have contacted 3 local roofing companies that work with this type of roofing.
Here is a sample of the request that was sent out to the three companies.
I’m hoping to hear back on probably Tuesday. And we’ll schedule the inspections as soon as possible.
Hello,
I need to schedule an urgent roof repair assessment for a low-slope building located at 5500 Ben Canyon Road, San Bernardino, CA 92407. The building is the home of the Crestline Soaring Society at the Andy Jackson Airpark, and the roof is a rolled composition shingle system.
We are currently dealing with wind-driven bubbling across the surface and potential moisture intrusion. Because of the urgency and the need to protect our operations, we do not have a set budget limit—our primary focus is securing the earliest available inspection and getting the physical repair completed as soon as possible.
When your estimator comes out, we require a formalized, itemized written summary quote and a brief roof condition summary for our records. This must include:
1. An itemized breakdown of the scope of work (including plywood deck evaluation).
2. Failure diagnostics detailing the cause of the bubbling/leaking (accounting for our high canyon wind exposure).
3. Material specifications, labor timelines, and warranty terms.
Please let me know your earliest available opening for an on-site inspection next week, and how quickly your team can turn around the written digital quote after the walkthrough.
Thank you for your prompt response,
Brian Richey

Yes, the shade pavilion is definitely suffering from deferred maintenance on the gluelam wood beams.
This is a somewhat high priority issue, and I am currently working on outlining he total scope for the project.
Thank you for your input.
Thanks for that input Jerome.
Thanks for all your hard work Owen!
