    Dusty, That was a fun day… I guess i was at around 10K trying to catch up to you. Guess you were at around 11.5K climbing out to 13K maybe. do you remember the top out alt that day?

    I saw that airliner while 60 seconds out. looked like a baseball; hard to see ( until 30 seconds out, then 20, then 10 then; See Ya. , I could tell we we 350 to 450 feet apart so i just kept thermaling with a GREAT climb rate. :)  if i remember correctly i never did catch up to you.

    I like the way you stitched a few images together.

    Just looked at my flight log for that day…. Mics info;

    Happy Holidays….  The EEE Claw rules :)   I have great memories of landing dehydrated after fun flights and walking over to the Ortega Market at the corner to purchase 2 tall cans of Ice Tea.

    Sorry to hear he passed… I met Dave 1993,, i had maybe 1 hour of air time since i had only started flying HGs approx. 2 months prior at the EEE and Dave let me test his fly his old WW Sport 167.  I launched and stumbled into E convergence and had a great 1.5 hour flight at 8K. so my air time more than doubled  :)   I did not know Raleigh Collins was out that day flying and the next thing i hear while in the shear at 7k was Raleigh hollering over from 40 feet away.  HEY YA DID IT… I had promised Dave i would land after an hour so i was a half hour late…

    RIP Dave >>> thanks for that 1st soaring flight and the 167 sport demo.

    There are a lot of droppings in #2 >> no pun intended :) … lots of chewed nesting materials… The wings should be removed and at least swept off. And the container should be hosed out.

    Nice flights and pictures you guys!!! I left lift at Basically 9K due to temps… Jana, I had an extra long sleeve thermal in my harness and had wished i had worn it. The 2 thin jackets i flew in were doing ok but that 1 extra layer would have been nice :)
