Still wondering what to do? (not too serious)
Instead of trying to make sense of the conflicting advice from politicians, medical experts, civil right defenders, corporations, or struggling families…
Simplify and just ask yourself: What would Chrigel do?
Jerome DaoustGeneral MemberFunny guys. Fun day again this past Sunday (4 hour flight).
Update, 2020/5/20: Yesterday this USHPA insurance update ( <– click the link ) had Soboba lumped with 2 other flying sites, as no longer having insurance coverage. But today the info is revised to more appropriately state “No coverage when using property East of Soboba Flight Park”. So, no issue using the new/current launch(es) and landing at Soboba.
Jerome DaoustGeneral MemberUSHPA posted today these updated guidelines and recommendations. <– Click the link
Jerome DaoustGeneral MemberThanks for sharing that video presentation Mitch. Their message is balanced: Shelter-in-place and distancing was appropriate (link to statement) to flatten hospital resources demand, has served its purpose, and now time to resume activities/work and accept related risk while still protecting those most at risk.
Who can disagree with “moving now towards a Swedish model“?

I am no longer going to do any repair or sewing work for anyone who is now, or did during the fabricated ” crisis” advertising, promoting, or complying with the California CV19 quarantine scam.
This Seinfeld episode comes to mind.
Jerome DaoustGeneral MemberI get asked what the new main PG launch (called “Mid Spine”) looks like. So after hiking up today, I took the picture below. And thanks to Alex, who took this video of my launch. Landed 4 hours later.

Some are afraid “it could make them look weak”.
Jerome DaoustGeneral MemberDone (easy) but I have 4 questions…
1) Did I screw up by paying too early? I had an existing membership expiring at end of May this year. By paying now, my account now shows that my next payment is May 2, 2021. Should it not be due instead on May 31, 2021, so I am adding a full year from my previous expiration?
2) Will I be billed automatically next year? I prefer avoiding auto-pay methods.
3) I am unclear about the “general membership sign-up fee”. It seems like the purpose of the “first-time sign-up fee” is to be a fee just applicable once, to the very first time we sign up (not following renewals), and that we can use this $25 discount coupon to avoid it now (which I did). My current payment was “only” $100. But when renewing in about a year from now, will I pay $100 or $125?
4) Since my membership payment has completed, can I delete my credit card on record under “Payment Methods” in my account?
Thank you for making this a streamlined process, looks professional (like other online stores).
Jerome DaoustGeneral MemberDifferent choices and still be right? <– This is a link.
Jerome DaoustGeneral MemberThank you for working on this David, and to all those involved.
Jerome DaoustGeneral MemberIs it possible to make the animation pop-up window size-adjustable?
Not hoping for more resolution, just allowed to adjust the window to become larger.
Jerome DaoustGeneral MemberI like it. Can we play Twister on it?
Jerome DaoustGeneral MemberNice work David.
It loads up quick and plays rather smoothly. Leaves me wanting more than 15 min.
Jerome DaoustGeneral MemberThe benefit of visually seeing nested replies, is less important than the benefit of having replies in chronological order which then allows to:
- Provide a list of links to the single (only 1 per topic) oldest unread posting in a discussion/topic. No need for multiple links for each unread posting/message, which make that list too long.
- Entering a discussion/topic and reading posting in chronological order.
The only disadvantage of not seeing post/message chronologically (instead of visually nested) is that users replying to another just need to start by a short quote or say who they are replying to if it isn’t obvious (like the message just above). This doesn’t seem to be a problem on the international Paragliding Forum, which provides the ideal list of links to the oldest unread message under each topic (click this to see). The attached image shows a typical result, and you just click the orange “UNREAD” link to get into that topic’s oldest unread message, great!
