Wil Brown from AK on Zeno 2 (blue) + yours truly on Icaro Alto HG (green). Really smooth and pleasant autumn day. Sadly, my Hero 11 Black went bye-bye over Sugarpine Mtn along with an hour of 5K flight footage. Next time I use a leash.
Jonathan DietchGeneral MemberThank you Bille!
Jonathan DietchGeneral MemberThanks Ken. Great to hear from you. Even better if we fly together.
Jonathan DietchGeneral MemberThanks Bille,
I had the day wrong. This was Sunday 9/24 and not Saturday the 23rd.
I sledded on 9/22 so this made up for that.
Sorry if it was rough on 9/21.Jonathan DietchGeneral MemberYesterday’s track and sunset. It was a good afternoon.
Jonathan DietchGeneral MemberBille Floyd lands after a sweet evening glass-off thanks to Dan’s generosity in driving and providing wings.
Jonathan DietchGeneral MemberTFRs in KML are much easier for me to visualize and plan around.

The current TFR looks like this…
Jonathan DietchGeneral MemberGood job and well-presented report! Thanks!
Here you are (speck in the middle) after tagging the return cylinder.
Jonathan DietchGeneral MemberJonathan DietchGeneral MemberI don’t know how, but one trap took out a mouse and a smaller mouse with one snap.
Either a double-header or a ground rule double. Perhaps, two heads are better than one? Take your pick.
Hoffbrau, you are up to bat!Jonathan DietchGeneral MemberJonathan DietchGeneral MemberExcellent flight which you modestly under-reported. You flew past McKinley and beyond Harrison Mtn, then you fought your way upwind against a WSW flow in your Ion 6. That was rather impressive. Also, you landed a mile or so South of 40th St near the 210 Fwy where few if any pilots ever land Little wonder you got spectators wanting signed 8×10 glossies.
Jonathan DietchGeneral MemberThis encounter happened on Wednesday atop Kagel Mtn in Sylmar.
Jonathan DietchGeneral MemberSounds interesting. Can’t wait to see them next time.
Jonathan DietchGeneral MemberI was fooled by the marginal looking forecast and figured I’d be lucky to get an hour of weak scratching. However, the weather stations showed better than forecast flying was setting up. I launched Marshall at 2:09 and connecting took a lot of patience and strategy. Eventually I went to the back ridge and flew a modest FAI triangle followed by fun flying until I was fatigued and landed without a whack. Video will appear below after upload. Sportstracklive.
